Depuis la sortie de The trial of Van Occupanther, nous étions sans nouvelle de Midlake. Était-ce la fin du quatuor texan ? Après un si bon album, ç’eut été d’une tristesse…
Joie, mes amis ! Selon une note toute récente sur leur site, l’enregistrement de leur prochain disque, The Courage of Others, est terminé. Le mixage est commencé.
It has been quite a journey, with its fair shares of ups and downs, but the band can’t wait to share the fruits of labor with everyone.
L’oreille non plus, ne peut plus attendre ! Or, aucune date précise de sortie n’est prévue pour l’instant.
À quoi s’attendre de ce disque ? Nous en savons très peu, mais voici ce qu’ils en disaient en novembre 2008 :
“There’s a British folk scene of late ’60s stuff. That stuff has been influential to us on this album. It’s less Fleetwood Mac-y, America. There’s not much of that on the album.”
